This is a quick email reminder that ALL California employers, no matter their size, must provide all employees with the “Know Your Rights” notice, which is a notice prepared by the California Labor Commissioner.
The notice must be given to:1. ALL existing California-based employees no later then 2/1/26.2. ALL new hires at time of hire.
Please note that employers must provide this notice to each employee in the language the employee normally uses when discussing business.
The good news is that it is the Labor Commissioner that must provide and draft the notices. Right now, they have only had them translated into English and Spanish. I have included the links to the notices below.

The Labor Commissioner will provide the notice in other languages, but for an unknown reason, they do not have the translations into any other languages available yet. You can check back at the Commissioner’s Website of https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse for additional languages in the future.
We recommend that the best practice would be to have employee’s sign a receipt for the notice. For new hires, we recommend you have a list of all the required pamphlets and notices given to an employee and have them sign a receipt to be kept in their personnel file. Contact our firm to discuss more.
